Ford F-150 leveling kits

Every F-150 leaves the factory sitting lower in the front than the rear. A leveling kit evens out that rake, makes room for a slightly larger tire, and gives the truck the stance it should have had — installed to spec with the alignment set afterward.

The factory rake

Why F-150 owners level

Ford builds the F-150 with the front sitting lower than the rear so the truck stays level when the bed is loaded or a trailer is hooked up. Most days, though, the bed is empty and the truck looks nose-down. On most generations the difference is roughly one and a half to two and a half inches, depending on cab, bed, trim and drivetrain.

A front leveling kit raises the nose to close most of that gap. It is the most common first upgrade for F-150 owners because it changes the look of the truck immediately, keeps the factory ride feel, and usually leaves room for a somewhat larger tire.

Not sure whether you want a level or a true lift? Read leveling kit vs. lift kit, or see everything we install on our lift and leveling page.

Common setups

How we level a F-150

Every truck is quoted individually. These are the setups we recommend most often.

Most popular

Front leveling kit

Raises the front to roughly match the rear. Keeps factory ride quality and wheels, and is the most affordable way to fix the rake.

Level + tires

Leveling kit and larger tires

Pairs the kit with a slightly taller tire. Many F-150s fit a tire around 33 inches after leveling, depending on trim, wheel and offset.

More height

Leveling with rear lift

Adds a small amount of height at both ends for owners who want more presence than a level stance alone.

Before you level

What to know about your F-150

Trim and drivetrain matter

Kits differ between 2WD and 4WD trucks and between generations. Performance trims such as the Raptor use different suspension, so tell us your exact trim.

Free 500-mile torque check

After your first 500 miles, bring the truck back and we re-torque every bolt we touched during the install, at no charge.

Alignment afterward

Changing ride height moves the front geometry. We set the alignment after every install to keep the truck tracking straight and tires wearing evenly.

Questions

F-150 leveling FAQ

How much lift does an F-150 leveling kit add?

Most F-150 leveling kits raise the front around two inches, which closes most of the factory rake. The right height depends on your generation, cab and trim, and we recommend a kit that levels your specific truck rather than a one-size number.

What size tires fit an F-150 after leveling?

Many F-150s fit a tire around 33 inches after leveling, but wheel width, offset and trim all change the answer. We confirm fitment for your exact truck before you buy tires.

Will a leveling kit change how my F-150 rides?

A quality leveling kit installed correctly keeps a ride very close to factory. Bigger lifts and heavy aggressive tires change the feel more, and we will tell you what to expect before any work begins.

Do you install leveling kits on the Raptor or Tremor?

Those trims use different suspension than a standard F-150, so kits and options vary. Tell us the trim and year and we will let you know what makes sense.

Do you check the install after I drive on it?

Yes. Every leveling install includes a complimentary 500-mile torque check. After about 500 miles, bring your truck back and we re-torque every bolt we touched during the install, at no charge.

How much does it cost to level my F-150?

It depends on your year, trim and the kit you choose, so we quote each truck individually. Send us the details and we will give you a straight price, including the alignment, before any work begins.

“Zach did a thorough and professional repair to the windshield of my 2019 Toyota RAV4 at a FRACTION of the cost I was quoted at Safelite. I will never go back to the “name brands” when an identical repair handled by an attentional-to-detail small-business is available. Very pleased!”

“My parents had their windows tinted at Adams Auto Restyling and highly recommended them, so I decided to bring my car in as well. Zach was great to work with and provided professional, high-quality service from start to finish. They tinted all the windows on my SUV, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My vehicle looks sleek, and I’ve noticed a huge difference in heat and glare when driving in the sun. I was so impressed that I’ve already booked an appointment for a full interior and exterior detail, including a ceramic coating to restore the shine and protect the paint. Highly recommend!”
